After his tour has reached Warangal on foot, in Vastunna Meekosam, Chandrababu Naidu decided to lash out at the ruling party and the Chief Minister, Kiran Kumar Reddy for increasing the electricity charges again. He said that the ruling party should hang its head in shame for taking such a decision that would burden the people of the state greatly.
He pointed out that this was pure mismanagement of the government and was the direct outcome of the scams related to electricity and coal purchases. He also alleged that CM Kiran Kumar Reddy had pocketed benefits of Rs 400 Cr with the scam-ridden coal purchases.
He added that they would bring out the issue of the hiked electricity charges in the TDP party meet that would be held on Jan 9th in Khammam. Will the discussions be of any effect in lowering the prices of electricity. Even if it prevents further hike in the prices as planned, CBN would appeal to the crowds more than ever with actions rather than making promises.
