The incarcerated Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's bail plea is being heard in the High Court for the second consecutive day on Thursday (December 20).
In the assets and investments case the YSR Congress Party Supremo had applied for the bail and that has come for hearing yesterday.
The apex court that heard the arguments of the council on Wednesday posted the case for the day. In the process directed the CBI to place the police custody and remand reports regarding the arrest of Jagan before it on Thursday. However the council for the CBI urged the court not to grant bail to Jagan as the investigations were at a crucial stage. Adding that as he was quite influential he could influence the witness.
In yet another development on Wednesday, a special CBI court extended the judicial remand of the young leader till January 2 2013. It may be noted that ever since the Kadapa MP was arrested by the CBI on May 27, he has been lodged in the Chanchalguda Prison in Hyderabad.(Wishesh AarKay)
