Lokayukta has taken up the fire accident at Manikonda area of Hyderabad as suo moto. Lokayukta opined that shooting unit's negligence was visible in the accident and therefore asked the director general of fire department, ghmc commissioner and Rangareddy district collector as to what action was taken against the film unit. It is known that at least seven persons including a kid died in the fire mishap, which occurred in the film sets and engulfed the near by apartments. Lokayukta even asked officials as to what kind of relief measures were provided to victims in the fire accident. The deadline that Lokayukta gave to officials for submitting their report was September 30.
