AP govt finding it difficult

Andhra Pradesh government has focused its attention on gathering space for the construction of new capital of the state. The government has been scouting for suitable land but as most of it in and around of Vijayawada being agriculture based, farmers are reluctant to give their land for the capital city sake. On Friday night, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu met the Cabinet sub-committee which is assigned the task of convincing the farmers and gather as much land as it can.

However, Chandrababu is not happy with the progress of the sub-committee. The council of ministers from the committee said, farmers have doubts in this regards and are not willing to come forward. Chandrababu in reply asked ministers to personally hold discussions with farmers and explain the benefits which they in return get from the government. He also added that it is the responsibility of ministers to clear the doubts of farmers and directed the local MLAs to join the dialog process.

Over the past few days, farmers surrounding Vijayawada and Guntur are agitating over the government's decision to establish capital here. Andhra Pradesh government has decided to form the government near by Vijayawada in the last budget sessions.
