Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the sole Indian sportsman and ranked fifth on Forbes' list of the world's most valuable athlete brands. This list is topped by American basketball player LeBron James and has golfer Tiger Woods, tennis stars Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
Dhoni is ranked fifth with a brand value of USD 20 million in 2014 marginally down from last year at USD 21 million. Forbes also said Dhoni signed bat sponsorship deals with Spartan Sports and Amity University in 2013 which is reportedly worth USD 4 million annually.
The list also includes Tiger Woods at second position, Roger Federer at 3rd position, Usain Bolt at 6th position, Portugal and Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo at 7, Argentine professional footballer Lionel Messi at 9th and Nadal on the 10th position.
