Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar held a surprise check yesterday at his office and send about 40 officials to home for arriving late to office. On Monday, minister Javadekar reached his office Shastri Bhavan at 9 AM and half-an-hour later, he made rounds at the offices of the ministry.
Javadekar found out that many sections were empty and the officials who came late were asked to meet minister for their late arrival.
The latecomers have been asked to furnish a day’s Casual Leave and go home. After the minister’s inspection, Secretary, I & B, Bimal Julka issued a circular to all the officials to be on time to office and emphasised on need for punctuality.
Narendra Modi government has very strict right from the day one and punctuality was on top of their agenda to serve better for the people.
