Abhinendra Jain was arrested on the charges of rape and molestation of a 22 year Spanish student of Jawaharlal Nehru University.
Abhinendra Jain (20) was the victim’s former friend and classmate who was said to have been obsessed by the looks of the girl for so long attacked her in the Campus. She was sitting with other friends outside the hostel she was staying in the campus. As other students were watching the sudden incident in a shock, Abhinendra tried to strangulate her and threatened her.
In fact they two were in relation for some time. As Abhinendra, as told by the girl to the police, was obsessed with her became possessive and asked her not to mix with other boys. As she did not heed to his advice, he molested her in the campus in front of others.
In the previous incident in the same campus an armed student went in to a class room and asked a girl he loved to come out with her and on her refusal to do so, he cut her throat drank poison. Incidentally that girl victim also was staying in the same hostel the Spanish girl stayed.
The police said that these cases are of madness from so called love, obsessions and possessiveness of the Students.
