Telugu Desam Party will now have the party president Chandrababu Naidu's son in the run for the CM position starting today at the two day Mananadu at Telugu Vijayam at Gandipet.
The situation in the party two years ago is completely different from the situation today. Jr NTR who's presence in the party was considered a threat to Chandrababu Naidu's lineage as the CM for the party has moved back to movies paving way for the heriditary traditions of the Indian political parties to play their games.
Currently Lokesh is the director for the family-owned Heritage Foods but his presence with the party has been exponentially increasing since the Meekosam Padayatra that began approximately six months ago. This could have been him filling into the shoes of his father who was away with the people of the state and learning the problems first hand.
Lokesh is only waiting to become a dedicated party member until his wife finishes her education. Nara Brahmani the daughter of Nandamuri Balakrishna is currently pursuing her graduation at Stanford University in the USA. She will take over the family-owned Heritage business. Currently she is listed as the additional director for the organisation.
Soon after his wife takes the complete organisation into her hands, Lokesh will be free of every extraneous activity helping him to dedicate time to his party, not without high aspirations.
Speaking of Telugu Vijayam, Lokesh has become an instrumental part of the banners that were erected for the event starting at APPA junction to Telugu Vijayam premises, in Gandipet.
On the other hand, Harikrishna, father of Jr NTR, is upset over the projection of Lokesh as a leader and being anointed head of the party's youth wing, a decision that will be pronounced very soon in the next few days. Speaking about Mahanadu, he earlier said, "I have been observing the developments in party. I will react to it at an appropriate time. I am also not sure whether I should attend the Mahanadu, let me decide."
How can such an internally tormented party run the state efficiently? Will they settle scores before the big days are here to stay?
